If you and I have a discussion regarding Jersey there’s very little positive things that will come out of my mouth. Today, however I witnessed a different side of this Garden State. Behold Smithville Historical Park. We did a little 2 mile hike around a lake taking in the change of season.
This song has been a source of strength for me the last couple of weeks.

I am missing my little boy. I’ve been away from him since Monday and will continue to miss him until next week. So to help cope I’ve been looking at his 9 month pictures we took just before I took off. I don’t think he misses me all that much except right around 7am when he wants to play but there’s no one to play with. Right now like most babies he adores his mother and grandmother who make him laugh, feed him all sorts of goodies and care for him more than I ever could. I’m just biding my time until he’s ready to wrestle, play catch and ask about girls. I guess that’s when I’ll be more useful.
From the pictures below you can see how he can stand all by himself. This is telling me its time to hit up the safety section of that baby warehouse or go buy a plastic bubble…will have to see which option is more economical.
Our little boy has been growing up fast during the last four months. He babbles all day long, screams when he wants attention and is showing signs of crawling (*gulp*). Its pretty fascinating how he learns something new everyday and shows daddy when he comes home from work. This has made me into a crazy city driver dodging through traffic and honking at slow moving vehicle to rush home and spend as much time as I can before he clocks out for the night.
